About Us

CENTER for CULTURE & GLOBAL STUDIES (CCGS) is an Intercultural Research Organization [IRO]. The present International Coordinator is Mr. Tokio Hasegawa. Mr. Hasegawa is an art lover and admired by thousands in India and abroad.  CCGS works on the non-profit basis to maintain the peace & harmony among global citizens. Inspired by the vision of Mr. Tatsumaru Sugiyma (26 May 1919-20 September 1987), the green revolutionary of Fukuoka and a staunch advocate of Japan-India relation; CCGS was established by his friend Prof. Akira Inoue (1931-2018) in the year 2014 at Tokyo. Late Prof. Inoue was based in New York. After his retirement, he was working to connect six great civilizations of the world. He was a global visionary and had a great respect for Indian jurist Radhabinod Pal (27 January 1886 – 10 January 1967) He frequently used to refer the United Nations' charter of human rights which, ''reaffirm(s) faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small, and to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained, and to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom.'' Our goals and objectives are very much similar to that one. To achieve that goal we shall use culture, Cinema, Art, Language, Literature & Media as tools. The world is shrinking and at the same time, a big problem of misunderstanding and gaps in cultural communication are also arising. Terrorism is just not a fallout of religious fundamentalism but the lack of understanding for other civilizations, cultures, and citizens.
CCGS is an endeavor to bring people of earth together through cultural activities, art teachings, language exchanges and, media communications. Diversity is a positive concept of our beautiful world. We believe in protecting diversity. We also believe that the whole world is one family with the difference of opinions, cultures, and thoughts. Communication technologies have brought global citizens together. Now we share happiness & sadness almost instantly. In every situation, we are a connected community. So, we believe in collective responsibility to shape this world free from war, violence, destruction, terrorism, inequality, biases and poverty. To achieve this target we conduct several activities. Some of them are exchange programs for youths, students, artists, educationists, media-persons, and social scientists around the globe. We also organize conferences, seminars, symposia, literary and cultural fest etc. across the nations. Our prime object is to make this world peaceful & prosperous with a vision of "Global thought for Local Change." We believe in fundamental freedoms for all without discrimination as to region, race, sex, language, culture or religion.
CCGS works for the creation of conditions of stability and well-being which are necessary for peaceful and friendly relations among global citizens based on respect for each other. To begin with, we have chosen Australia, Brazil, Germany, India, Japan and, the US, to lead the world and create a congenial environment for entire globe to march ahead with peace, prosperity, and non-violence. This project is to be called Cultural Hexagram.

Our Executive Office is based in New Delhi, India.

A quarterly multidisciplinary international research journal GLOBALCULTURZ is also published by the Center.
